Categorical should go well in the Close Brothers Business Finance Handicap Chase at Newcastle.

Keith Reveley's 12-year-old knows this terrain well, having won at Gosforth Park four times in his career, and warmed up for this with a pleasing spin at Doncaster towards the end of February.

Categorical was only beaten three and three-quarter lengths in a two-mile-three handicap chase on Town Moor and remains well treated on his best form.

Merlin's Wish can make a triumphant return to action after nearly a year off the track in the Higos Insurance Services Devon National at Exeter.

The ten-year-old has clearly had his issues as this will be just his ninth career start under Rules, but he is certainly a useful type having won twice last term.

He landed the Lincolnshire National on the second occasion and then found only Sun Cloud too good when bidding to double up in the North Yorkshire version next time out.

Martin Keighley felt those two runs were good enough to merit a Cheltenham Festival run but after showing up in the early stages of the National Hunt Chase, he crashed out and has not been seen since.

Staying is clearly his forte, though, and while such a long absence is far from ideal, the little touch of class he possesses really is a plus.

Miniskirt seems to save her best for the Southwell Fibresand surface, so a return to the Nottinghamshire venue for the Ladbrokes Handicap can reap rich rewards.

The four-year-old is twice a winner over a mile at the track and while she has shown glimpses of ability at other courses, she has really shone at Southwell.

She shed her maiden tag when powering home by eight lengths in what was admittedly only an average heat back in December but she was all at sea next time at Wolverhampton, finishing down the field.

Returned to Southwell by Rae Guest, Miniskirt put her best foot forward once again as she bolted home by nine lengths in another so-so contest, although there was much to admire about her businesslike attitude.

She was under pressure a fair way out when only third at Chelmsford most recently and while her current perch of 79 is far from ideal, Miniskirt's favourite surface should help her out.

Amazing Blue Sky has been pretty consistent this winter and his perseverance can pay off again in the Download The Coral App Handicap.

Placed in each of his last four starts, he won an amateur riders event at this track a couple of starts back and is more than capable of getting back on the winning trail.

Electric Qatar snapped a year-long losing streak at Southwell last month and now his confidence is riding high, he can follow up in the Daily Enhanced "Magic Multiples" At Unibet Handicap.

He has won a couple on the bounce on more than one occasion in the past before losing his way again, so it could pay to cash in now.
