SUNDERLAND defender Wes Brown will NOT serve a one-match ban after an appeal against his red card in Saturday's defeat to Manchester United was successful.
An Independent Regulatory Commission has upheld a claim of wrongful dismissal in relation to Brown, who is now free to play in tomorrow night's match against Hull City at the KC Stadium.
The Sunderland defender was dismissed by referee Roger East for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity.
Therefore, his one-match suspension has been withdrawn with immediate effect.
