BISHOP AUCKLAND still have a 100 per cent record in the ENL after winning 3-0 at Newton Aycliffe to record their fourth win of the season.

Bishops took the lead when Stuart Thompson cut in from the right and fired into the top corner, and soon after the break Kieran Megran converted a penalty for the second after Johnny Butler was brought down by Aycliffe keeper William Jones. Megran added a third with 15 minutes remaining when he headed in a left wing cross Shildon had to work hard to beat Crook Town 3-2.

Shildon started well – Mark Hudson headed them into the lead, then Micky Rae ran through and slotted in the second by the 15th minute.

However, Crook pulled a goal back with a Kallum Holbrook penalty, and Jason Brazauskas raced through and beat Lewis Graham.

Paul Connor got the winner late in the game when Darren Craddock headed across goal for him to tap in.

North Shields are top after a 3-1 home win over Newcastle Benfield.

Jarrow Roofing easily Billingham Synthonia 5-1 after being a goal down at half time, with Jon Wright scoring four times in the last 16 minutes. Synners took the lead before the break through Stewart Bath when he pounced on a rebound from Jack Bradbury’s shot, but minutes after the restart, Dan Kirkup headed the equaliser from a corner.

Wright pounced on a weak headed back pass to give Roofing the lead, then latched on to a pass from Paul Gardiner to make it 3-1.

New signing Lewis Teasdale set him up for his hat-trick, and in stoppage time he dispossessed a defender and fired home.

Durham City drew 0-0 with Consett. The closest either side came to scoring was a long range shot by Dan Madden that hit the bar.

Bottom club Sunderland RCA are still pointless after they were beaten 3-0 at Morpeth, for whom Michael Chilton (2) and Sean Taylor scored inside the first 25 minutes.

In the second division, Team Northumbria are three points clear at the top after beating Ryton and Crawcrook 6-0.

Darlington RA came from behind to beat Northallerton, who led at half time with a goal by Aaron Ramsbottom, but Mark Sims scored twice in five second-half minutes.

Willington drew 1-1 with Tow Law. Mark Bell put them into the lead, but Dean Thexton equalised.
