Goals:
1-0: Tubbs (10, took possession in the area, unmarked and able to pick his spot, firing low)
1-1: Wyke (46, Brobbel’s free kick spun and bounced up into the six-yard box and he headed in)
1-2: Harewood (65, Brobbel rolled a low cross into his feet, turned and netted from eight yards)

AFC WIMBLEDON (4-4-2): Shea 4; Fuller 7, Bennett 5, Barrett 6, Kennedy 5 (Aziz 73); Francomb 6 (Sainte-Luce 65, 7), Bulman 6, Moore 5 (Pell 65, 5), Rigg 7; Akinfenwa 6, Tubbs 5. Subs (not used): Worner (gk), Phillips, Nicholson, Harrison.

HARTLEPOOL UNITED (4-4-2):
7 Flinders: Fine penalty save preserved the victory, and his follow up save was just as good;
6 Duckworth: Seemed to keep his attacking outlook in check and stuck to his defensive task solidly
7 Collins: Good return to the side and used his nous and experience – and bandaged head – to help Pools over the line
7 Bates: Like Collins was disappointed with the opening goal, but from then on stepped up to the mark
6 Austin: Reverted to left back and both he and the team were better and more solid for it;
7 Franks: First half tame, second half direct, positive and on the front foot as he looked to get in and beyond his opponent
6 Walker: Covered plenty of room in midfield and roamed around looking for possession
6 Miller: Horrified at conceding second-half penalty, and saw the game out in a determined manner to atone for his mistake
8 BROBBEL: Two assists and showed a willingness to get at his man with his pace and trickery;
7 Wyke: Looked much more mature and stronger than he did on his last loan spell at Pools
7 Harewood: Tame first half, but came into his own after his goal when his confidence and arrogance came to the fore.
Sub:
Richards (for Wyke 82)

MAN OF THE MATCH Ryan Brobbel – his best performance for Pools to date, showed the form which impressed York City last season
