SEDGEFIELD swimmer Hannah Featherstone is preparing to represent Britain in the European Junior Championships which begin in Holland this morning.
Featherstone, who won two silver medals and a bronze in the team events at last year’s European Youth Olympic Festival, is part of a 30-strong squad that has travelled to Dordrecht.
The 15-year-old is set to compete in her preferred event, the 100m freestyle, and will hope to add to the national title she claimed last year,
City of Sunderland disability swimmer Matt Wylie has also been named in the squad, and is one of six British Para-Swimming athletes selected as multi-classification events are included within the European Junior Championships for the first time.
