    Totally agree! The first 20 minutes concentrated on the 5 riders at the front interspersed with shots of the Minster and Cliffords tower.Once they got to the top of Bootham we had to go to a "break" and rejoined as they swept round onto Borobridge Rd. How this coverage is supposed to encourage more people to visit York is beyond me!

    If you cannot work out how the simple mention of a product 'York' works then you are lost. If you are struggling to find any media of the race, look on Social media....I think you will find it has a couple of mentions! In the 10's of millions.

    So it's night now then? It's all happened and all the nearly 200 bikes have gone off to That London. Which is well away from here.

    Are we all alright? Is there still bread on the shelves and water in the taps?
    Has everyone rung their granny to apologise/see if she is still kicking it cos we couldn't drive all of two miles to care !yes that's right! CARE for her?

    I am so concerned about the coming week. Now that bikeageddon has happened and the coffers are dry and wasted on the frogs and their awful lycra clad weirdos, what's going to happen?

    Britain's most beautiful county is North Yorkshire. I can see all those shocked Southerners wanting to head North.

    What a weekend!
    It was amazing out in the hills on Saturday and what an all day party yesterday here in York.
    Brilliant!

    Hahahaha, screw the whingers and naysayers who just didn't get it and spent so long moaning before it happened.
    We had a ball.

    What an Extrtaordinary day/weekend. I am so very proud to say I come from this wonderful city.
    Standing outside of York Theatre Royal as the minutes ticked by you could sense and feel the buzz that was building and when the sponsor trucks came by in all shapes and colours the crowd only let out a cry of great joy.
    To see the Avro Lancaster and Spitfire in close formation was an incredibly heartwarming sight they even did a couple of circuits and flew by again BRILLIANT!!.
    Then finally the TDF riders and assorted team cars all seem to whizz by in a flash. Loved every minute and my personal thanks to EVERYONE involved a truly magnificent effort you should all be very proud to have brought this Worldwide sporting spectacle to our streets and roads.

    Do us a favour and put on a post outlining what interests you (even if it is only freestyle moaning). Normally I would encourage supporting minorities but when it is 100,000 to 1 it is not a minority - it's a lost cause.

    Very sadly we had to be out of the county for the weekend but I can confirm in other parts of the UK the interest in Yorkshire that the TdF has generated has been remarkable. To see Bishy Road on the national news for all the right reasons, and to hear how much enjoyment has been experienced by so many confirms the decision to host the event in this part of the world was absolutely the right thing to do.

    I agree too. The TV coverage of York was the worst of the whole route.. extemely disapointing.

    TV wise, York was totally over shadowed
