SUNDERLAND Ladies forward Beth Mead has been named in the England squad for the forthcoming FIFA Women’s Under-20 World Cup in Canada.
Mead has netted seven times in nine games for the Lady Black Cats in their first season as part of the FA Women’s Super League and her form has been rewarded with a place in Mo Marley’s squad.
England have been drawn in Group C alongside South Korea, who they will face on August 6, Mexico (August 9) and Nigeria (August 13).
Sunderland midfielder Rebekah Bass is on the standby list.
