NEWCASTLE United look set to play with five defenders in a bid to stop Liverpool's SAS strikeforce at Anfield today.
Steven Taylor and Massadio Haidara have both been introduced to the starting line-up, which represents two changes to the side which defeated Cardiff eight days ago.
Taylor seems certain to play alongside Mike Williamson and Fabricio Coloccini in central defence, while Haidara and Mathieu Debuchy playing wing-back. The changes mean Loic Remy, sidelined through injury, and Paul Dummett, on the bench, miss out.
Liverpool, spearheaded by Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, need to win to stand any chance of dethroning Manchester City, who only need a point against West Ham, at the top of the Premier League table on the final day of the season.
LIVERPOOL (4-1-3-2): Mignolet; Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Flanagan; Gerrard, Allen, Sterling, Henderson; Suarez, Sturridge. Subs: Jones (gk), Toure, Aspas, Coutinho, Sakho, Cissokho, Lucas.
NEWCASTLE UNITED (5-3-2): Krul; Debuchy, Taylor, Williamson, Coloccini, Haidara; Anita, Tiote, Sissoko; Gouffran, Sh Ameobi. Subs: Santon, Yanga-Mbiwa, De Jong, Elliot (gk), Sa Ameobi, Dummett, Satka.
