SUNDERLAND have given fans a further boost ahead of this Sunday's Capital One Cup final by announcing significant price reductions on season cards.

Every season card holder will pay less for their seat at the Stadium of Light next season, provided they renew before Friday, April 11.

Adult seats will be available from £370 and supporters over-65 will pay £270. Young people under 22 can take advantage of a price reduction of £90 on their season cards, which will be priced at £190 and junior supporters aged under-16 will pay £69 for a whole season.

Sunderland want to continue a pledge to provide affordable football with special packages in the stadium’s popular 'Family Zone' priced at £395 for an adult and a junior. Additional children aged under-16 can also be added to this package in the Family Zone for £25 each.

The club will also continue to offer an interest-free payment option for its supporters, allowing them to spread the cost of their season card over eight months, free of charge. The deadline to sign up and take advantage of the price reductions is Friday, April 11.

The club’s chief executive, Margaret Byrne, said: "Our fans have been amazing throughout the season, both home and away and it is incredibly humbling to see such fantastic levels of support. They show unbelievable commitment to the club and we want to demonstrate to them just how valued and important their backing is.

“Keeping football at the Stadium of Light affordable is something that we are fully committed to. By reducing prices for next season we hope that our existing season card holders will be able to continue to support the team in such huge numbers. We also hope to encourage more fans to join us for the 2014-15 season."
