Blackpool 0 Middlesbrough 2

MUSTAPHA CARAYOL'S late brace gave Middlesbrough all three points in a scrappy encounter at Blackpool.

The Boro substitute curled home on 84 minutes and fired past Matt Gilks in second half injury time to hand Boro their first victory at Bloomfield Road since 1987.

Boro had a couple of chances in the first half with Emmanuel Ledesma and Lukas Jutkiewicz both going close, while Blackpool were restricted to half-chances.

Both sides struggled to get a foothold in the game in the second half, but Boro got their goal on the counter-attack from a Tangerines corner, when Carayol held off his man and curled in.

And the 1,800 travelling Boro fans went into raptures at the death when Carayol fired home in a goalmouth scramble.
