BRADLEY SAUNDERS will put his unbeaten record on the line when he returns to the ring at Gateshead Leisure Centre on March 8.
Stockton-born Saunders, who boasts eight wins from eight fights since turning professional, has been added to the bill for Jon-Lewis Dickinson's British cruiserweight title defence against Neil Dawson.
The former Olympian will return to Gateshead after comfortably disposing of Hungarian Gyorgy Mizsei when he last fought at the venue in November.
The victory sent Saunders shooting up the domestic light welterweight rankings, and he is now rubbing shoulders with the likes of British champion Darren Hamilton and Prizefighter winner Chris Jenkins.
Having cruised through his professional career to this point, Saunders is hoping for a testing opponent as he looks to secure a title fight later in the year.
Speaking from Spain, where he is based for the majority of his time, Saunders said: “I'm in Spain now with my family to concentrate on my profession – no distractions. I love the sport more than I ever have before, and can't wait to see what this year brings because I'll be ready.”
