NORTHERN LEAGUE clubs received some good fortune when the draw for the fourth round of the FA Carlsberg Vase was made on Monday.
Seven clubs are left in the competition, and five of them have been drawn at home for a place in the last 16.
Holders Spennymoor, 2012 winners Dunston UTS, Newcastle Benfield, Ashington and Morpeth have all been given home ties, while there could be an all Northern League game between Whickham and West Auckland, assuming Whickham win their re-arranged game at Brighouse on Tuesday night.
The draw as it affects Northern League clubs is: Newcastle Benfield v Congleton Town, Spennymoor Town v Causeway United, Ashington v Wisbech Town, Morpeth Town v Westfields, Dunston UTS v Coleshill Town, Brighouse or Whickham v West Auckland Town.
Ties are due to be played on January 18.
