TOW LAW TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB are hosting a charity night in aid of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation on Friday, December 13.

The evening, which starts at 7.30pm, will see Lady Elsie Robson formally unveil a large signed portrait of Sir Bobby in the clubhouse and receive a cheque for almost £4,000.

The money has been raised through a range of fund-raising initiatives, and includes a £500 donation from Charlie Donaghy, who donated his first prize from last week’s Northern Echo Local Heroes Awards to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, which has invested millions into the research and treatment of cancer in the North-East.

Friday’s charity evening features talks from former referee George Courtney and Northern League president Mike Amos, and a question-and-answer session with Times football writer George Caulkin.

Tickets are priced £5 and include a free supper, with all proceeds going to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
