RICHIE Smallwood has been promoted to the Middlesbrough starting line-up for this evening's Championship game at Huddersfield Town.
Smallwood replaces Kieron Dyer in the only change to the side that beat league leaders Cardiff City on Saturday.
Normally a central midfielder, Smallwood is expected to play in a wider position at the John Smith's Stadium.
Scott McDonald will continue alongside Ishmael Miller in attack, with Sammy Ameobi lining up in the other wide berth after scoring on his Boro debut four days ago.
