IT was more a case of Hartley-Poole United at Victoria Park as Hartlepool United beat Notts County 2-1 with goals from..... Peter Hartley and James Poole.

The captain scored the winning goal, on the back of Poole's fifth minute opener, as Pools secured  wins for the first time in 17 months.

Pools have not took six points from six since September 2011, but last week’s win over Portsmouth was followed up with a deserved victory.
They took a fifth minute lead when Jon Franks cross was met by striker Poole eight yards out and a delicate first touch set up a volleyed finish from close range.
Notts had two good first half chances to level, but where twice denied by solid defending.
First Hartley blocked a goalbound Jamal Campbell-Ryce shot and, from the corner, Yoann Arquin’s header was kicked off the line by Neil Austin.
Campell-Ryce did breakthrough on 53 minutes, netting an individual effort. He skipped across the defence on the right side to shoot by Scott Flinders.
Notts were on top, but Pools responded in style with the winner.
An Evan Horwood free-kick into the area was scrambled in from close range by skipper  Hartley.
Scott Flinders denied Arquin a second leveller when he stopped a tame header from close range, but Pools deserved their win.
