NICKY HENDERSON will be keen for Tour D’Argent to gain a confidence-boosting success in the Dencher Wood ‘‘Jumpers´ Bumper’’ National Hunt Flat Race at Lingfield, writes Tattenham.

He ended last season with a mark of 140 over timber, mainly due to chasing home Attaglance at Aintree, and he looked the ideal type for novice chases this term.

Having travelled a little keen he jumped well on his debut this term at Huntingdon before he fell at the 13th.

Next time at Fakenham he settled better and once again jumped well enough before taking a fall at the last.

Henderson will no doubt be glad there is nothing to be jumped this time and his undoubted class should see him prevail.

Desert Vision let down favourite-backers last time but he can make amends in the Compare Bookies With bookmakers.co.uk Handicap at Wolverhampton.

Dropped to claiming company following a fine third in a class two event, Desert Vision looked a likely winner when he kicked for home at the top of the straight.

However, he had no answer to the change of gear from winner Noble Jack and had to settle for second, giving nearly a stone away to the victor.

That was another solid effort, though, hot on the heels of a fine third at the track on Boxing Day and another placed run before Christmas.

While connections of Desert Vision would probably have liked the handicapper to drop him more than 1lb for his last effort, they will have to be satisfied with a mark of 82 around a track where Mick Easterby’s charge thrives.

Beach Candy can complete a hat-trick of wins in the coral.co.uk Fillies’ Handicap after two recent wins at Kempton.

She struck off a mark of 50 just over a week ago before turning out under a penalty just 24 hours later for another frontrunning success.

Those victories prove she is equally capable over five and six furlongs, although she tackles the longer trip again this time.

Saddled with 12lb extra here, Phil McEntee’s charge will obviously have to improve again but given she was rated as high as 76 in 2012, she still looks feasibly treated.

Black Rider can improve on a promising second as he lines up in the coral.co.uk Mobile Casino Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

Beaten four and a half lengths on his racecourse bow, Kevin Ryan’s charge found everything happening much too quickly for his liking before the penny finally dropped in the closing stages.

He kept on for the runner-up spot that day and should not be too long in winning.
