Newcastle Falcons have suspended James Hall for two weeks after the forward was found guilty of striking an opponent in last week's 31-15 win over Plymouth.
An internal disciplinary hearing was convened after Hall was accused of throwing a punch during the game at Kingston Park, and the prop has accepted his punishment.
A Falcons statement said: "The foul play by James Hall during last week's game against Plymouth was unacceptable. James regrets his actions and has shown a willingness to improve his future conduct."
Hall will miss the British and Irish Cup double-header with Newport, but will be available for Falcons' next Championship fixture against London Scottish on December 23.
