A HYGIENE company has been nominated for an award for a wellington-style boot liner.
North Yorkshire-based Hygicare’s Anti-Bac boot liner has been shortlisted in the best new product category in the annual awards of the Society of Food Hygiene and Technology.
The Thirsk company produces hygiene products and clothing for places including hospitals and food environments.
The Anti-Bac Boot Liner is made from a material which has a silver thread running through it. Silver has hygienic and therapeutic properties, helps to fight odour and is thermally dynamic, meaning that the liners help to keep feet warm in the cold and cool in warm conditions.
The awards will be presented in London on November 20.
Hygicare’s sales this year are 30 per cent up on the same period last year.
