THE success of students has been recognised at an awards ceremony.
Pupils at Staindrop Business and Enterprise College, near Barnard Castle, were praised for their hard work, enthusiasm and dedication.
Tim Fisher, Principle from Queen Elizabeth College in Darlington presented the awards to the students and also delivered a speech on success and life long learning.
More than 70 certificates were handed out at the awards ceremony, which was held for the first time last year.
In the Special Endeavour category, Andrew Lamb won the award for Highest Achiever, while the Best Progress prize went to Sarah Douthwaite.
Ashleigh Walton was the Highest Achiever in the Alternative Curriculum section with Natalie Morris picking up the Best Progress award.
Alyson (corr) Carr, assistant head teacher at Staindrop Business and Enterprise College, said: "It was a lovely occasion in which to recognise outstanding success.
"There was a really good turn out from students, parents, teachers and governors. It was great to see all the students being recognised for their hard work last year."
