Every once in a while there comes a video game that not only re-invents the wheel; but also shows us a whole new way to drive. Heavy Rain, the PS3 exclusive released by Quantic Dream this April, is one of those games. It certainly won’t work for everyone, but you’d be mad not to try it.

For some reason the complexities that comics offer never quite get translated into a video game. Or at least, they used to. Because now that’s all different in Batman: Arkham Asylum, the longest night of the Dark Knight’s life.
