Motor Storm came out last November, in the demo it looks rubbish but is actually quite good.

There is a load more vehicles and new ideas. One thing they have added is a four elements system (fire, water, air, and earth). Each one has several tracks. Another thing that has been added is when you drive through water your boost cools down and drops very quickly however if you go through fire it has the opposite effect your boost heats up very quickly (you must be careful if you where close to blowing up this would blow you up)!

So back to the elements feature as you can probably guess fire means tracks with lots of fire lots of them you jump through pools of lava and over hot steams. On water there are spectacular waterfalls and lakes which you can plunge into to recover your boost. On air you drive down immense heights and fly through the clouds. Lastly Earth; most of this you are driving through stunning scenery prepare to get lost in the trees and grass. Also they have really improved the graphics, they where amazing before but now the cars look incredibly real as if you where there racing and not playing a game. I personally struggle with the way the simulators work and think it is a lot more difficult than the old one. This is the one aspect I personally think that it fails on as sometimes the way the game seems quiet bizarre and strange and also I noticed a glitch on one of the levels where you can go through trees which needs to be resolved. Another thing is rocks seem to stick out awkwardly and leave little room for error.

So the actual vehicles are Bikes ATV’s, Mud Pluggers, Buggies, Rally cars, Racing Trucks and Big Rigs. As you have probably guessed a big rig isn’t going to go over jumps and follow the bikes through incredibly tight bits of tracks. So therefore it’s vitally important to find the right route for the vehicle you are using. So if you end up struggling to win you need to take time to find the route for your vehicle. So then you will be flying through the tracks.

In addition to this there are other new features to the races which make them interesting which are things such as the eliminator which means if you are at the back of the pack when the time goes to zero you blow up in flames. Other ones are things such as a wreck limit of 3 which is very challenging if you have been made to race a bike round the track against all the vehicles.

The last cool feature of this game is that you can pause and take a picture at any point during a game. So if you are blowing up over the line you can take a picture of your great victory. Or if you land in a curious position which is difficult to land in or just fancy taking a picture you can.

All in all this game is pretty good but I am not impressed with the bikes as they are even harder to control and crash them all the time. And the game seems to respond sluggishly at times but overall I give it 7/10 as it is almost impossible but quite good.
