Let’s Get Lost, Author: Sarra Manning

Book: Let's Get Lost Author: Sarra Manning In my words this book means a lot to me as it was one of the first books I ever read and could relate to, I find it hard to find a teen novel that does that so well. When I first picked up the book the cover seemed eye catching and quite sophisticated. Reading the book didn't take me long at all, as I never put it down! It seemed like a life so different to an average teenagers but with the same problems.' While reading this book I thought Sarra (the author) had intended to create a classic teen life-style with a twist. In the story the main character Isabelle is left motherless after a tragic accident that you first know little about.

She seems to be the toughest girl in school with her sharp words and fists of iron. Her friends just follow her not wanting to be on the receiving end of all her victimising. However one night her and her friends decide to crash a student party. And that Is the night she meets Smith; the slightly geeky but harmless character. Their personality's clash, which is what I believe, makes their relationship work so well. They become partners later on...but here starts the lies. It's a tough story of love, heartbreak and why you should always tell the truth! Unfortunately Isabelle learns this the hard way. With troubles at home, at school, with her friends AND with smith it appears too much for her. As soon as everything seems to be okay and when she truly loves and trusts smith everything is turned upside down again which made me question; who can you really trust?

The book has mild language, also sex scenes however they are put tastefully none Of which I found inappropriate. It is good as most teenage life is about these things and maturing, this book is here to tell the truth and for this I congratulate it, as most authors are scared to refer to real life in teen novels. And as the audience we want to know the characters experiences and learn from them. So for me this book is highly recommended; I think the author as done a great job in attracting the younger audience as I have lent this book to many of my friends and we have all agreed on what an excellent book it is. The plot line is both serious and funny which makes it easy to follow. In my opinion as which has probably been made obvious by now this book is a MUST READ!

Thank-you for giving your time to read this,

Danielle.
