Luke Leighfield – Middlesbrough, Dr Browns 02.03.08
If you like to hear music that recalls glorious moments from pop and rock and music that inspires saxophone solos and key changes, you really should have a listen to Luke Leighfield because that is exactly what he's about.
He's played all around the country many times and has played over 150 home gigs, plus he has recorded sessions for Radio One and XFM. He's not only an excellent musician when it comes to live shows but it turns out he's got a bit more to offer to his fans in Middlesbrough; a sense of humour, which left crowd purely in stitches.
His lyrics are one of the many main structures to his songs, the underlying meaning and honesty give him the ability to connect with the audience well, also the piano solos and never ending melodies get everyone's heads bopping in time. Luke's music is the sort that forces you to clap and sing along and if you're not already doing that you're most likely caught up in the addictable harmonies. "If You Haven't Got Anything To" is the biggest stand out track and the song tells a true story of people striving to make it in the music business and how it's clearly not easy.
Luke believes in working hard and writing honest stellar pop tunes, his music can really lift you out of any mood. You should definitely check him out, if you haven't already done that.
