Gallows – Newcastle Carling Academy 22.02.08 Set Your Goals a new and up and coming band from California completely mastered the warm up leaving people literally bouncing off the walls. They have a large fan base in England and they really hope it grows larger by the end of this tour and I can safely say I'm sure it will.
Gallows yet again are back in Newcastle, with even more confidence than ever before and also they seem to have picked up a lot of talent on the way.
Gallows generic, inspiring hardcore attack lead to mass crowd participation and everyone was going absolutely wild. Front man Frank Carter often engaged in witty chat with the crowd squirting water like torrents onto the front row. Frank has a amazing and maybe unexpected personality, he comes across as an angry and never satisfied front man but really he adores his true fans, and playing shows means alot to him.
Whichever way you look at it, there is always a sense of danger and unpredictability surrounding this band but Gallows wouldn't have it any other way.
By the time Orchestra Of Wolves gets played the font stage is a massive mess of tangled cables and failing bodies with Frank almost buried under the masses, attempting to share his microphone with die hard fans.
I've now seen gallows over five times, and not always intentionally, but it really is hard to get away from this band of wolves as they seen to be popping up everywhere!
