I caught up with the boys from rock pop band, Elliot Minor after I won the 'Two Thiry Volts' School competition for the band to play at my school back in Febuary 2010.

Elliot Minor played at Longfield School, Darlington, back in Febuary 2010 as part of the 'Two Thirty Volts' Competition ran by the Electrical Saftey Council school competition.

Every year Darlington plays host to a music and drama festival. This year the Darlington Festival for Performing Arts took place at Carmel RC College.

Struck by Kings, are an indie band, based in the North East. The band is made up of four Darlington boys, who formed after the original members of the band, vocalist Jake Turnbull and lead guitarist Thomas Howson expanded their acoustic act “Tom&Jake” as they were joined by drummer Glen Bowen and bassist Ross Latue.

I caught up with Singer and Guitarist Sam Halliday from Southern trio, Twenty Twenty, shortly after their second headline tour round the UK at the back end of January, hitting the Newcastle Academy on the 23rd January 2010!

2010 is well and truly going to rock. NewBlood returned over the Christmas holidays in style. The event is every fortnight on a Thursday that costs £3. On the night refreshments and some band merchandise are available to buy. Doors open at 6:30. The live music for this NewBlood was Maybe Next Time and Crafty Simian.
