Bullying review

There is different types of bullying in Longfield from physical to cyber bullying, but they all affect us in their own way. Sometimes it can be stopped on its own but sometimes others get involved and it becomes a full-scale thing. There are several ways of stopping it.

One of the ways is to tell a friend and let them help; you let them stick up for you - but not by force. Sit down with the bully and your friend and sort it out instead of involving violence.

Another way is involving your parents/guardians or a teacher. They can help you. The teachers can stop it and help you get your confidence back. Your parents can help you at home, look after you and ring into the school to report it.

One more way to help you is ringing a helpline. They will give you more advice and will talk to you and make you feel better. So, never think you are alone, everyone gets bullied. I have had a past experience and I have got over it and so can you.

Here are some helpline numbers that can help you and websites.

Hmm, Longfield School is a place that has frequent bullying problems. I know, i have experienced the worst of them.

Let's just make something clear though, bringing a friend in to sort out your problems with somone else really doesn't work. This should not even be attempted.

The way my old man told me to look at is was this;

You have two options, you stand your ground and fight off the bully, usually resulting in you either being the victor and never being hastled by him/her again or to looser, which is proberably the better option believe it or not. Once the rage of the bully has extinguished then don't do anything to upset them and you'll be okay.

Secondly, teachers. If you take this option be aware that you take it for the rest of the time your in school. For example, you go and complain about a bully who is starting a fight with you and threatening you, usually in a gang, and the next day or something you have a fight with someone cos' of a totally different reason. You can't run to the teachers then, it just doesn't work. Teachers only delay the enevatable, the better option is to learn how to take a few punches.

Don't bother with help lines, they tell you to basically seek help from your higher ups. This advice is out of personal experience, Longfield School isn't a nice place to be if your a victim.

Well I have to agree with that asking for help doesn't do anything except make it worse. Most of the time I find that people just needed someone to pick on or it would be them. Basically showing of to the gang. If you where to talk to them indivualy they would simply talk to you (most of the time obviously there are exceptions). And letting the bully extinguish his or her rage doesn't work. I know this myself that sometimes no matter what you do what reaction you give they will carry on.

James, that is because of the way you act around people being agressive towards you, I know for a fact that year 10 has some of the biggest morons in the world in it. If you have no other options then i'm afraid you'll have to resort to being spoon fed by the teachers. The gang culture in Darlington is, in a word, atrocious. If anything should be done to get rid of bullying it's sorting these types of people out who live for causing other people misery and diturbing the community as a whole.

True but I don't have any problems now if I didn't make that clear before. I was just talking about my past experiences that I have had.
