Beowulf tells the tale of the Great warrior Beowulf, Grendel, his mother and a dragon while paying little attention to the story's origin, offering little more than "ooohs" and "ahs".
Beowulf wasn't terrible but niether was it very good and it was only the last ten minutes that seemed to actually impress in any way as Beowulf takes on a dragon. I put this down to the film being animated and expecting more spectacular scenes however the performance capture technique used for the film was very well done and and its safe to say that some of the scenes would not have worked without it.
There is plenty of action in Beowulf to keep you entertained throughout the two hours while watching the side characters grunt, shout, drink and eat with their mouths open as they always do in these ancient times films.
