Wall-E

After the success of The Lion King, Toy Story and Cars just to name a few, it is nothing short of astonishing that Disney can go one better and create the lovable creature Wall-e.

This GCI tale shows the friendly and harmless character of Wall-e and his desperatly lonely life cleaning the earth as a result of humans nature of destruction with a small bug as his only companion.

With no dialogue until 20 minutes within the movie, this allowed the audience to appreciate the beautiful and detailed graphs of wall-e and his isolated world. This also allowed the audience to really understand wall-e's character and how he reacts to different sinarios. Once the audience had a grasp on his emotions and dreams for his future the film takes off in another dimention with the introduction to the new character EVE.

EVE causing the equlibrium to disrupt with wall-e's work suddenly been put on hold as his emotions stand in the way. They finally join as a team in order to save the future of the human race, along with the mis-fits of the robot community.

The storyline was touching and emotional, sat next to three grown men all admitting there were times throughout the film where there was a lump in their throat due to the mass amount of empathy felt towards the characters. However this does not mean the whole film is wet, there is plently of humour. What is better, there is a wonderful balance of visual humour as well as the dialogue which is unusual to find in recent movies.

Naturally as this is a disney film there was a message for our ashamed race for us to all learn from. This film came around at the perfect time, teaching the younger generations to look after the world and respect the envirnoment. In order for us not to take drastic measures similar to the film and all become obease slobs living in space.

Overall this is a feel good movie without being too soppy. It is sutible for all the family, and i mean that for the adults, you will enjoy it just as much (if not more) than the children.
