Ever heard of Warriors? No, not Roman gladiators or medieval knights! Warrior cats! Each cat clan has a leader, their medicine cat, warriors, apprentices and nursery queens. Oh, and the grumpy elders! Cherith Baldry, Kate Cary and Victoria Holmes, all children’s authors, teamed together to write the Warriors series. They chose the name Erin Hunter to stop their readers getting muddled if their books are in different places on the library bookshelves! They write notes in thick books, known as ’bibles’ to keep information. Occasionally, they get into a muddle – like one cat was born a female, but fathered a cat’s kits! Whoops! For now, I’ve only ever seen them in America, but you can find out LOADS more about the four clans of the forest on www.warriorcats.com!

I personally think that the warrior’s series are the best cat books I’ve ever read – and, believe me, that’s an awful lot! They’ve inspired me to write my own book about cats – but my book is nothing to do with Warriors! Anyway, I hope you’ll read them, and enjoy the Warrior cat’s many, many adventures!
