Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer

How do you know when you've read an amazing fiction novel? With me, the best way of telling is if at the end I have a huge grin of satisfaction stretched across my face and I am able to talk about each character with more detail than when describing my own family (as my mother unfortunately discovered when I chose to read Breaking Dawn over joining in her birthday celebrations!) This fourth and final installment in Meyer's genius series based upon Bella and her vampire boyfriend, Edward is in my opinion the best book so far. It kept me captivated till the last word and even then I was desperate for more.

Breaking Dawn continues seamlessly from Eclipse and it seems strangely normal to be following the life of a girl in love with both a vampire and a werewolf. In Meyer's world it is easy to accept that these supernatural beings exist and that the mere thought of it being unrealistic never so much as wanders through your fantasy filled mind.

One thing you ought to bare in mind whilst reading this review is that this recommendation is extremely high as my general genre of books does not usually even verge on romance or fantasy but this blend of the two styles truly has become one of my favourite books. So much so that it has managed to gain a place on my highly prestigious 'Shelf of Glory'

Twilight-lover says...

I've read the whole seires, and i have another thing to add:
Do not let children under 9 years old read it!
1. THey might be frightened (my cousin was - she thought that Victoria was after her!)
2. There's a bit of something in Breaking Dawn, that they shouldn't read.
