SWORD fighting soldiers, vintage vehicles and military music was all on offer at the return of a multi-period living history display.
Families travelled from far and wide to catch a glimpse of the action at Hardwick Park, in Sedgefield this weekend.
The Frontline, now in it’s second year, featured living history displays with re-enactors in full uniform.
Organiser Billy Adams said: “Last year it rained all day both days so we’re pleased the sun has come out this weekend. We’ve had loads of families through which is fantastic, and we hope to keep bringing the event back every year.”
Dave Brown, of the Northumbria Viking Society, added: “We are all big kids really, we like dressing up and playing with swords. We take lumps out of each other and then for go for a beer.”
