MY wife and I have been regular patrons of the Bondgate café from the day it opened so it came as a surprise to us, and gather to the staff, when it was announced it was to close.

The café not only serves good meals, it is a refuge for lonely people wishing for company.

The staff are friendly and if a person has fallen on hard times a mug of tea and sandwich appears. Therefore I hope management will reconsider its decision.
