FATHER Ian Grieves, recently convicted of drink driving (Echo, Aug 3), has apologised profusely for his error.
He has been a great servant to both the Anglican and Catholic church in Darlington for many years.
He made my son’s first Holy Communion a memorable event for my family and I.
Although he has made a mistake, let’s be ready to remember the good work he has done and give him another chance.
Priests are human beings too, prone to errors like everyone.
Let’s support Fr Grieves in his restoration and recovery.
Andy Drozdziak, Barnard Castle.
