IN the House of Commons, Brexit is only being opposed by the SNP, the Liberal Democrats, and the Greens, who between them have far too few MPs to make any practical difference.
The only effective opposition to Brexit is coming from the House of Lords, but like many, I have serious reservations about the role of this unelected chamber.
The job of Her Majesty’s Opposition is, as the name suggests, supposed to be to oppose the Government, but Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party is singularly failing to do this over Brexit.
I believe the large minority (48.1 per cent) who opposed Brexit in the referendum (including myself), deserve better than this.
