AS the Brexit negotiations are now reaching their final stages there is one industry that has rarely been mentioned – tourism.
For many years citizens of the UK and Europe have travelled between each others’ countries enjoying the culture and hospitality on the way and returned on further occasions to continue these experiences.
If the final Brexit outcome ends more acrimoniously than amicably then this could cause unnecessary tensions not only between the aforementioned people but (regrettably) those who are involved in the various European sporting events such as football.
The Brexit negotiators have to be aware that the future of Europe and the UK is more important than the present and that is not just about politics but also about the future relationships between its individuals whether through business or pleasure.
