ALTHOUGH a supporter of Darlington FC, I take a lot on interest in other teams such as Spennymoor Town, presently in the same league as Darlington.
I have followed their progress for a number of years but especially since their generous gesture two years ago when they loaned their ground to Darlington free of charge when Heritage Park at Bishop Auckland was unplayable.
Unfortunately, they may become a victim of their own success with an increasing number of fixtures to catch up on. However, despite my praise, on April 2, when Darlington go to Spennymoor, my allegiance will be only to one team. I’m sure it will be a full house.
At Darlington, it would be nice to see attendances creeping nearer to the 2,000 mark. The team deserve it.
