MY wife and I took our two Westies for a Boxing Day walk along the seafront at Seaburn.
We were shocked and disgusted at the amount of dog mess on the footpath and grassed areas.
As responsible dog owners we always pick up after ours.
We couldn’t believe that others obviously don’t care, can’t be bothered or just see it as beneath them (no pun intended) to clean up after their pets.
Can I add that the problem isn’t just there.
I walk our dogs in Framwellgate Moor every day, and have to avoid dog mess on the paths behind New College.
Councils should be more proactive in catching and fining these inconsiderate people.
