OUR heartfelt thanks must be extended to the hierarchy of the BBC and all the freeview companies for not only the repeats of 60 and 70-year-old shows, but also the repeats of repeats on consecutive days.
It must have taken many minutes to both formulate and think of, not to mention the use of a few octogenarians like myself, who could remember such, err, ‘gems’ still existed.
I’m a bit disappointed that Elmo Lincoln in the original Tarzan of the Apes wasn’t aired, but maybe next year.
I am fortunate I no longer have to pay for such drivel but as our local library is under threat of closure, it appears I’ll have to resort to the emerging sport of ‘walking policeman spotting’ or set up a new one called pot hole repair game.
