I CANNOT believe that former Tory party leader Lord Howard could not say who was driving his car when it was caught speeding in London (Echo, Dec 1).
The 76-year-old politician could not recall if it was him or his wife driving the car.
Having myself being fined on three occasions for speeding I should have told them it wasn’t me and got off with it – I think not.
Lord Justice Simon and Mrs Justice Whipple have opened up a can of worms with this decision.
