DARLINGTON Borough Council apparatchiks have issued another dictat: those of us who wish to attend the Holocaust Memorial Service must not be allowed in the Dolphin Centre Central Hall but must gather outside Primark and make the service open to the bemused shoppers and to families hurrying through the Cornmill to get to the library while it still exists (Echo, Oct 31).
Are all memorial services to be downgraded into retail outlets or is it just the Holocaust Memorial Service that is targeted?
Time for a coup at the Kremlin.
Margaret Eason, Darlington
