HAVING been born in 1943 I’ve experienced life under all the post war prime ministers but I thought we would never have a more useless first minister than Sir Alec Douglas-Home. Then along came David Cameron.

Home wasn’t expected to do much and didn’t. Cameron, however was a different kettle of fish, and disastrously opted for an ill thought out referendum for which future generations will pay. Then, just when you think things can’t get any worse along comes Theresa May.
