I WAS horrified to see the plans for the housing development based around Skerningham (Darlington).
I note that the area includes flood plains, which should not be built on, and the newly planted forest by Skerningham.
The forest provides a wonderful place to walk and to appreciate nature.
In addition, a council rubbish dump, which is now covered with vents for gases, is included.
This should not be built upon because of subsidence and the gases.
Finally the area provides a wonderful area for walking and for enjoying nature.
