Durham Cathedral
RECENTLY driving through Durham and approaching what was the Milburngate site, I was appalled to be confronted with the monumental structure of the new development.
Gone was the iconic view of the cathedral and castle, now only visible from the bridges - the view recognised worldwide as epitomising Durham City.
What would (former chancellor of Durham University) Bill Bryson say?
