THE Boompods EDCO NRG elite women's cycling team kicked off the 2018 road race season in style with three podium finishes around the UK.
First on the podium steps for the Middlesbrough-based team was Hannah Farran at the Bike Inn Spring Shield series at Middlesbrough Sports Village, riding to her second place finish in her first competitive race of 2018.
Next to register points for the team was Ellen McDermott, returning from her Calpe training camp in fine form with a second place finish at the Gifford Road Race in Scotland with team-mate Jenn Batey also in the points with a fourth place finish.
On Sunday, Hannah Larbalestier took on the Magnificent 7 Multi Hill race in the Peak District, finishing second.
