A WOMEN’S running group is celebrating its second birthday with the graduation of some of its members.

Sisters R Doing It holds weekly running sessions for women across Darlington and Teeside, led by coaches Emma Campbell-Critchley and Wendy Thompson.

Monday, April 9 marks two years since the group first launched in Darlington and has since expanded.

Mrs Campbell Critchley said: “For me, Wendy was one of my original ladies and was one of the first that did this course, so we feel amazing that it’s come this far in two years. It’s a wonderful thing to do and helps women believe in themselves and make friends.”

The two-year anniversary coincides with a group of beginner runners graduating their 10-week programme.

The women will be celebrating with a meal and a presentation of medals.

Sisters R Doing It will be taking on its next round of beginners Monday April 23 at 6.30pm. More information about joining the group and events can be found at facebook.com/sistersrdoingit or by contacting Emma Campbell-Critchley on 07787992675.
