FUN activities aimed at keeping children entertained over the half-term holidays have been organised at the North-East’s centre for children’s books.
Seven Stories, at Ouseburn, Newcastle, has been decked out with spooky decorations ahead of Halloween, and staff will be wearing ghoulish costumes.
The centre, which currently has a comic exhibition, is holding its Comic Takeover on Saturday, October 28, when children can meet artists, make comic art, swap comics and find out more about latest displays from experts.
There is also a poetry trail and from Wednesday to Friday there will be a pop-up poetry there where youngsters will find rhymes in unusual places.
A centre spokesman said: “There are tons of things happening this October half term at Seven Stories.
“Rhyme Scene, is also mid-swing with lots of events to encourage people to engage with poetry.
“Plus, it’s also a Hair-Raising Half Term at Seven Stories so they’ll be lots of Halloween things taking place over the week including spooky Story Time.”
