SCIENCE ambassadors from schools across the Ferryhill area came together to mark a year of hard work.
The female pupils from six schools joined with businesses and entererprise science mentors at Sedgefield’s NETpark to share what they had learned.
A partnership between not-for-profit Approach Too, Business Durham and Dr Jenny Search, the Science Ambassador Project is designed to encourage youngsters to engage in science.
Pauline Northcott, headteacher at Dean Bank Primary and Nursery School, Ferryhill, said: “The children have really been engaged in this project and have inspired others to view science in a different way.
“I have seen their confidence, knowledge and enjoyment develop over the year.”
The girls also viewed a film they made to promote NETpark.
