POLICE have confirmed the person arrested for carrying a large replica firearm through Crook town centre was a 24-year-old local man.
The man was carrying the weapon - thought to be an 'airsoft' gun similar to those used in activities like paintball - in Crook on Friday night.
It may be an airsoft weapon but at least 1 person can be grateful of the incredible skill of our #AFOs. Safely secured, 1 detained, 0 shots. https://t.co/zWTfj97M96
