FORTY new homes to be built in Crook will be available for affordable rent through County Durham Housing Group.
Durham County Council has approved an application for 22 bungalows and 18 two-storey houses, 34 with two bedrooms and six with three.
They will be built on parcels of land around West End Villas which had houses on them until they were demolished in the 1980s and 90s and are now grassed over.
