THREE dogs that are believed to have been abandoned by the side of the A66 are in the care of a dog warden.
The dogs, two beagle-type dogs and a pug, which were found near Gilling West, Richmond, are not chipped and no one has come forward to claim them despite a large-scale appeal on social media.
Richmondshire Dog Warden said the animals would become property of the council if the owner was not found within seven days, and they will subsequently be rehomed.
Anyone who recognises the dogs can contact the dog warden on 01748-829100 or email dog.warden@richmondshire.gov.uk.
